Step by step

Pick the app you're using

The web app and the mobile app don't always work the same way, so each has its own instructions.

  1. Find the Street View button in the bottom-right map controls.

It is an icon; hover it and it reads Enter Street View.

  2. Click it.

Roads are highlighted and the map reads Click anywhere on the map to open Street View at that location.

  3. Click the spot you want to see.

Google Street View opens in a new tab.

  4. To leave without picking a spot, press Esc or click the button again.

Good to know

Worth knowing before you start

  • No imagery?

Street View only exists where Google has driven. Rural parcels away from public roads often have none.
